The original idea for Gayspiration was an internet radio station that focussed on News and the Creative Arts for LGBT communities across the planet.
The main problems back in 2011 were lack of money, bandwidth, and the software needed to make it happen.
The arrival of technologies like Twitch, and Web RTC, alongside fundraising platforms like Patreon, have once made the idea a real possibility.
Over the past few months, I’ve been experimenting with a twitch audio stream. That’s gone well.
As a next step, I’d like to develop the stream — perhaps as a monthly live podcast featuring LGBT artists talking about and playing their music.
At various points in my career I’ve been a radio producer and trainer and I might offer free training to people who might be interested in helping out.
In the meantime, I have set up a number of lists on the Gayspiration twitter account, which LGBT people might find useful.
